STEINWAY & SONS - model D 274

Klavierhaus had the privilege of acquiring one of the very first concert grand pianos crafted by Steinway & Sons in New York in 1894.

A true witness of its time, this rare piano embodies the artisanal excellence that has made Steinway renowned, while showing a striking resemblance to modern-day models.

Meticulously and fully restored, it features a new soundboard and an updated keyboard, thoughtfully adapted to the physical evolution of today’s pianists.

The result? An instrument with a rich, deep, and nuanced sound, wrapped in a timeless aesthetic. Its sonic and visual qualities make it a truly unique piano.

A few words from Guillaume Belomme

“What a beautiful encounter with an instrument whose sound is as rich and warm as its stunning wooden finish! All supported by a smooth and precise action — a dream for any pianist.”
